Lake 88 In Focus: Hydro Rates and Province Wide Protest

I had the pleasure to sit down in studio with Lake 88's Bob Perreault and Carleton Place resident Doug Leitch to discuss out of control hydro rates and the April 4th Province Wide Hydro Protest. We also talked specifically about the Carleton Place hydro demonstration on April 4th taking place at the Carleton Place Farmers Market.

Last night I joined Ryan Doyle and John Downs on Newstalk 1010's Friendly Fire program to talk about my new Bill, Bill 148, that would allow the sale of beer and wine in private stores such as convenience and grocery stores.

Hillier introduces Bill to reform Human Rights Tribunals

Randy Hillier, MPP for Lanark-Frontenac-Lennox and Addington, introduced a Bill to reform Human Rights Tribunals in Ontario. This Bill would allow the awarding of costs to the defendants in a Human Rights Tribunal if their defense is successful. Currently only plaintiffs are awarded costs. This is inconsistent with all other courts.

Randy Hillier, MPP for Lanark-Frontenac-Lennox and Addington, introduced a Bill to allow for the sale of beer and wine at grocery stores and corner stores. People in every province and state surrounding Ontario are given the same convenient option. It's time we do the same.

The Progressive Conservative MPP for Lanark-Frontenac-Lennox and Addington tabled a private member’s bill on Oct. 30 that would allow voters in Ontario to recall and replace their MPPs.
