Hillier to Wynne: "Support Recall for Municipal Politicians"

(QUEEN’S PARK) Randy Hillier, MPP for Lanark-Frontenac-Lennox and Addington, has called on Premier Wynne in an open letter to fast track Bill 124, his Private Member’s Bill that allows for the recall of Members of Provincial Parliament. Hillier suggests his Bill could be easily amended to include all municipally elected officials.

Open Letter to Premier Wynne regarding Recall

Last week, I sent Premier Kathleen Wynne an open letter requesting her to support my Private Members Bill, Bill 124, that would allow for the recall of Members of Provincial Parliament. I asked her, in the wake of the controversies surrounding not just Toronto, but other municipalities across Ontario, to consider supporting amendments that would include all municipally elected representatives in the Province as well.

Randy Hillier wants to make all politicians in Ontario more accountable.

The Progressive Conservative MPP for Lanark-Frontenac-Lennox and Addington tabled a private member’s bill on Oct. 30 that would allow voters in Ontario to recall and replace their MPPs.

Hillier joins CBC's The Current to Chat MPP Recall

Today I sat down in studio with Anna Maria Tremonti on CBC Radio's The Current to discuss my MPP Recall Legislation and the need for it in Canadian politics.
