On August 21st, 2013, I sent a letter to Ontario's Minister of Consumer Services Tracy MacCharles requesting that she conduct a value for money audit of Tarion Warranty Corporation. Contrary to her letter, there is no law which disallows her from calling for such an audit. Here is my response.

Randy Hillier, MPP for Lanark-Frontenac-Lennox and Addington, introduces a Bill that would give Ontario's Legislature more oversight over the province's onerous regulations. This Bill, if passed, would create a committee tasked with reviewing regulations to make sure they do not impose arduous, cumbersome and weighty burdens on the people of Ontario.

You may be aware, I have long advocated for this development to proceed, and have been working with the hospital to this end since first being elected in 2007.
I have met with both the hospital board and hospital administration on many occasions over the last number of years, submitted public petitions in support of this redevelopment into the Legislative Assembly of Ontario, questioned the Minister of Health on this in Question Period, and had numerous discussions with both the LHIN and the Capital Investment Branch of the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.
