Hillier Gets Ombudsman Investigation



After sending a letter to the Ombudsman regarding numerous complaints about the wait times seniors where enduring at the hands of Service Ontario while attempting to book drivers test, the Ombudsman has assigned staff to examine the concerns raised and to conduct a preliminary review of the matter and is currently gathering information.

MTO LEAVES SENIORS ON HOLD



MPP Hillier penned a letter to the Ombudsman to express his discontent at the current state of Service Ontario's ability to book seniors in for an appointment for their mandatory drivers test. Many have complained to his office that it takes hours to get through the the booking centre to schedule a driver's test. The few "lucky" ones who hold the line for hours and are able to get through are booked for an appointment months into the future. Hillier Calls for End of Cash-For-Access

(QUEEN’S PARK) MPP Randy Hillier (Lanark-Frontenac-Lennox and Addington) has called on the government to amend Bill 201 - Election Finances Statute Law Amendment Act, which is currently before a traveling committee, to prevent Ministers and other Government Officials from holding cash-for-access fundraisers with stakeholders under their jurisdiction.

UCDSB Failing Vulnerable Children

(PERTH) – Randy Hillier (MPP for Lanark-Frontenac-Lennox & Addington) expressed his disappointment with the recent refusal for key players involved in the delivery of programs for children with mental health disabilities to meet for open and frank discussion on how to provide these services in the next school year. On March 30 of this year the UCDSB notified Hillier they had terminated their delivery of these services effective the end of June.

Letter to the Minister of Children and Youth Services Regarding IBI Funding

Here you can read my letter to the Minister of Children and Youth Services advocating for the Minister to expand the direct funding model for IBI and ABA therapies. This would eliminate the wait lists for treatments and ensure children with autism get the timely treatment they need to thrive.
