Public Transit should be sustainable, not subsidized

Instead of advocating for sustainability in public transit, the Liberal Government is arguing for more subsidizes paid for with your tax dollars. Sign this petition if you agree that tax hikes on hard-working families don't make for a sustainable transit system.

A Petition to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario – Public Transit should be sustainable, not subsidized

To the Legislative Assembly of Ontario:

Whereas, the Premier of Ontario is considering increasing taxes by $477 per family;

And Whereas, this increase on everyone in Ontario is to pay for transit in the GTA;

And Whereas, the people of Ontario are already paying too much in taxes to a government that squanders our money;

And Whereas, public transit ought to be sustainable by users and not subsidized by taxpayers;

We, the undersigned, petition the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as follows:

That there be no new taxes until we start getting what we already pay for.

    I don’t have public transit available where I live, WHY should my tax dollars go to subsidize somebody that has something that is unavailable to most Ontarians just because they choose to live in Toronto, there are other places in Ontario.
