Holding politicians accountable by recall legislation?

With each political scandal in Ontario, I hear demands that different politicians should be replaced. Unfortunately, voters only have this option once every four years. In some places - like British Columbia, Wisconsin and California - voters can "recall" their politicians and hold a new election midterm. I'd like to hear your thought on this idea.

I introduced a Bill that would allow Ontario voters to recall their MPPs. If, within a 60 day period, a voter collected signatures from 25% of the number of people who voted in the last election, their MPP would be subject to a recall election. That MPP could run in the recall election. A recall initiative would not be possible one year before or after a scheduled general election. Do you have any suggestions to improve my Bill?

A: Change to read ,collected signatures from 25% of the number of people eligible to vote in the last election.

I've brought forward legislation that would allow Ontario voters to recall their MPPs. Do you support this initiative?
