Bill 162 Members' Integrity Act

Make your voices heard on Bill 162, changes to the Members’ Integrity Act

We expect our elected members to be accountable to the public for their actions. Ontario however, has a very poor track record in member accountability, transparency, and in consequences for wrongdoing. On February 20th 2020, I am bringing my bill, Bill 162, the Public Accountability and Lobbyist Transparency Act, to the House for Second Reading debate to encourage all MPPs to address wrongdoing and clean up government.

You can help clean up your government and show them the consequences for wrongdoing by signing my petition, and by contacting your MPP and the Premier ([email protected]) demanding they support Bill 162. I hope I can count on your support.

A Petition to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario – Members’ Integrity Act

WHEREAS currently members of the public cannot file a complaint to the Integrity Commissioner when they have grounds to believe that an MPP has contravened the Members Integrity Act;

WE the undersigned petition the Legislative Assembly of Ontario as follows: That the Members’ Integrity Act be amended by passing Bill 162, the Public Accountability and Lobbyist Transparency Act, 2019 to allow for the filing of complaints against a Member of the Assembly to the Integrity Commissioner by individuals, and if found to have merit, the Commissioner shall investigate and provide a report to the House.
