A Win in the Courts for Mask Exemptions

A win in the courts, know your rights:

While the government tries to keep legal challenges out of the courts, some manage to sneak through. Last week in Burlington a court decision was reached after a condo board demanded two residents wear a mask inside the building, despite their medical exemptions. The law was always on the side of this couple, and the judge agrees.

This ruling was sweeping; private companies, like this condo board, must comply with the complete law and accept mask exemptions, accommodating all citizens.

Every bylaw, regulation, or Public Health order in Ontario stipulates the following exemption:

(Anyone who) has a medical condition that inhibits their ability to wear a mask or face covering;
