I must commend the Premier and this government for keeping the door open for consultation from all members of all parties, including independents. Unlike the failed power grab attempted recently by the Prime Minister in Ottawa.

Yesterday, March 25th I addressed the Legislative Assembly which unanimously passed Bill 188, the Economic and Fiscal Update Act, 2020 which provides support for the present crisis.

However, the financial outlook and the forecasts appear somewhat optimistic considering the economic contraction that is evident.

The government has budgeted a significant reserve fund should more actions be needed. I trust and expect this spirit of cooperation and collaboration will continue.
