Ontario disappoints in inaugural Canadian Property Rights Index
Last week the Manitoba-based Frontier Centre for Public Policy released its inaugural Canadian Property Rights Index. The aim of the index is to determine how each of Canada's provinces and territories protect property rights. Ontario tied with New Brunswick for 7th place with a score of 59%.

University of Saskatchewan Law Professor Dwight Newman just wrote a paper about amending the constitution to protect property rights. He seems to think that the proposal Scott Reid, MP and Randy Hillier, MPP tabled would work to enshrine property rights in the constitution.
