I had the pleasure to sit down in studio with Lake 88's Bob Perreault and Carleton Place resident Doug Leitch to discuss out of control hydro rates and the April 4th Province Wide Hydro Protest. We also talked specifically about the Carleton Place hydro demonstration on April 4th taking place at the Carleton Place Farmers Market. 

Randy Hillier joined Rob Snow on CFRA's Lowell Green Show to talk about Ontario Ombudsman Andre Marin's decision to investigate Hydro One over its poor billing practices. 

Randy sat down today with Lake 88's Norm Wright to chat about the ongoing issues with Ontario's hydro system and his attempts to make the Ontario Legislature to make sure that voters are better represented. 

Randy Hillier requested that the Ontario Ombudsman investigate the billing practices of Hydro One as a result of a countless number of complaints received. Ombudsman Marin responded with the following letter. Hillier will continue to pursue this file as it progresses.

Randy Hillier requests an investigation of Hydro One by Ontario Ombudsman André Marin. Hillier, the MPP for Lanark-Frontenac-Lennox and Addington, is concerned with Hydro One's opaque billing practices which limit a customer's ability to hold Hydro One to account.

You know something is wrong with Hydro One when more than half of the calls that come into my offices in Perth, Carleton Place, Napanee and Toronto are about the poor quality of service at Hydro One. I receive more calls from people with hydro problems than I do from people who have issues with all of the rest of the Ontario government, of all its ministries and of its more than 600 agencies, boards and commissions.
